Wendy Thomas’ Biography

Wendy was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. There was always an interest in art and music, as both her mother and father and several other family members were involved in the arts. After raising four children, she began to take classes in Wisconsin starting with tole painting and moving on to classes at Wustum Museum and the University of Wisconsin, Parkside. She moved with her husband, Mel to Hot Springs Village in 1992. She joined the "Brushstrokes" group in the village and more recently, the Artists' Workshop Gallery in Hot Springs.

Wendy loves the out-of-doors, especially birdwatching. The beauty of Arkansas has been an inspiration. She has done many bird paintings and also does landscape and flowers painting in both watercolor and oil. She recently won a Best-of-Show award at a Brushstrokes art show at Woodland's Auditorium in Hot Springs VIllage. She would love to paint your favorite bird for your home.
