Carolyn Howard’s Biography

Carolyn Howard explains her art as her "Work of Heart." After living in different parts of the country, Carolyn moved to Arkansas in 1978. Her daughter began taking an art class, and after getting excited about her creations Carolyn decided to join her daughter. She started laying watercolor on paper in 1993 and was hooked. The effects that happen from the shading of color have always intrigued her. Carolyn says that color makes her feel good. She explains by saying, "I love waking up and seeing lots of color. Color is one of God's rich gifts to us. Since the beginning of my painting career, I now see God's handiwork in detail and constantly find myself awe-struck by His creativity. I only hope that I can capture a little bit of His expression in my 'Work of Heart.'"
