Eletha Hise’s Biography
She has earned numerous awards through participation in juried art shows in both Oklahoma and Arkansas. Her works are included in a number of private collections in the United States and Europe.
Eletha started to show her wonderful talent and gift of art as a young girl. She says of herself. "I have sketched and painted for most of my life." She continued this pursuit of painting with studies at USAO, Chickasha, OK, then with such famous artists as Richard V. Goetz, Hollis Howard, Edith Goetz, Ben Konis, Milford Zornes and Harley Brown as well as participating frequently in well known Art Workshops.
She is a versatile artist, enjoying working with a variety of subjects. Her works are done mostly on location. Her feeling for the subject determines the medium she uses. She thus produces pastels, watercolors, oils, and charcoals with delightful dexterity and skill.
