George Havron’s Biography

George Havron grew up in southern Illinois and then lived in the Chicago area for forty years. He was a long time member of the Mt. Greenwood Art Association, and while a member, took courses in pen, pencil, pastels and oil painting. George participated and exhibited in the Chicago park District Art Program.


George retired from Westinghouse in 1988 and moved to Hot Springs. He became a member of the Traditional Art Guild and a founding member of the Artists' Workshop Gallery. He is also a student of Thad Flenniken at Garland County Community College.

His work may be seen regularly at The Artists' Workshop Gallery, 810 Central Avenue, Hot Springs.
