Beth Boone’s Biography

Studies with Ruth Seley Nichells, a magazine cover artist of note in Mexico, introduced her to the medium of pastels. At present, Beth's studies are at Garland County Community College.
A measure of success in her portrait work has been realized. Activity in oil painting in Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Illinois has been rewarding. Erdon Gallery in Houston employed Beth as a seascape artist. While in Illinois, she was an active member of the Tri-State Art Guild, which included Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. At present she is a member of the Traditional Art Guild and the Artists' Workshop Gallery.
Beth says, "As a book must be read— music must be heard— a painting must be seen for it to have any worth. I paint what I feel about a subject and try to present it in such a way that the viewer can share the moment with me. I try to capture the emotion, nourishment and beauty. SUBJECT— ARTIST— VIEWER creates a painting. It is completed and judged by the viewer who allows it to evoke a response.
"I believe in God as our Creator. When we see ourselves as individual souls and seek His purpose for our lives, we are freed from the doubts, fears and negative forces that take from us the abilities and joys we have possible in this life. Only through our oneness with God can we realize our true potential in our lifespan. I want my work as an artist to reflect this belief."
