David Blankenship’s Biography

I have been a professional photographer for the past 30 some years. Change of life moment directed me to further my education in the field of photography at the Community College of Denver, where I earned a degree in photography. I have attended many workshops taught by Ansel Adams, John Sexton, Bruce Barnbaum and Ray McSaveney, the western influence, all with large format cameras. Have the experience of owning, working in and displaying in Galleries, primarily in the Rocky Mountain Region. I consider myself an artist and definitely not a documentary photographer. I use every tool and technique available to create the most beautiful image possible. I am primarily interested with the archival stability of my work and use only the finest materials available. For Photography, new technology has made better quality images possible that have much greater archival longevity. Most prints may be ordered in different sizes. I print on Somerset Velvet and Museum Brilliant paper and Canvas. Prices vary according to size, material printed on and matting and framing if included.
